Our Services
We work with clients and family to design a unique plan of care for the client. Just as each person is unique, so every client’s plan of care is specially tailored to their needs. As time passes, the plan of care will be adjusted to accommodate the changing needs of the client. Click the + to learn more
Companionship care +
Loneliness can be painful. Loneliness can be especially difficult when a spouse passes or when a person is relocated to an unfamiliar place. Many of our clients just want the company of someone who has the time to listen, to play cards, or go for a drive or a walk. Our caregivers frequently form strong bonds with their clients and help them to combat loneliness.
We understand that adult children often live far away, or have busy lives with families of their own to care for. Caregivers are often the “ears and eyes” for the family, bringing peace of mind with the knowledge that Mom or Dad is doing OK.
Respite care is short-term relief for primary caregivers, allowing them to time they need to run errands, shop for groceries, get a massage, or just stop and do nothing.
Support services +
As people age, housekeeping gets more difficult; especially vacuuming and tasks that require getting down on hands and knees. Our caregivers can help out with all sorts of daily chores, such as housekeeping, shopping, preparing meals and running errands.
Support services is all about helping people live safely and comfortably at home, and bringing peace of mind to family members. With support services in place, visits from family members is quality time instead of time spent doubling up on chores to keep two households going.
Personal care +
Properly trained and professional, our caregivers are ready to assist in whatever way is necessary. Allowing the client to do as much for themselves as possible, stepping in whenever necessary. Personal care activities may include assistance with such things as:
- Bathing or showering
- Toileting and elimination
- Dressing / undressing
- Standing or sitting, walking
- Feeding
While some clients need “hands-on” assistance, others just need someone nearby to provide safety monitoring. Each service plan is tailored to the individual’s specific needs.
Medication services +
Our caregivers can remind clients to take their medications, or our Registered Nurse can set up medi-sets, liaise with doctors about medication changes, and ensure that caregivers know how to help clients take medications correctly. Together with the client and family, we will help determine what level of medication service is needed.
Nursing services +
Sometimes, a client may have additional health care needs that are classified as "nursing task services". Examples include, but not limited to:
- Catheter care
- Colostomy care
- Wound care
- Diabetes care
Hearts of Gold Caregivers’ RN provides specialized training and supervision of caregivers for these types of activities.
